To incorporate federally in Canada, you need a Federal  NUANS report to search and reserve your corporate name. NUANS search reports are a listing of similar company names and trademarks generated by Industry Canada. Federal incorporation reports used to have four pages of similar business names, according to Industry Canada’s formula, and two pages of trademark listings similar to one or more distinctive words in your corporate name, but the reports may be shorter starting in February 2021, if there aren’t that many similar names.

The Federal NUANS report that we supply reserves your proposed corporate name. It’s a good idea to submit the proposed name to Corporations Canada for preapproval before filing your articles of incorporation and paying the $200 incorporation fee, plus an expedite fee if you need to incorporate quickly. The NUANS Name Search Report that you have ordered may be rejected if the proposed name does not meet the requirements of the CBCA name regulations. Help on how to get a corporate name approved is available from the links below.

We will send you your NUANS report to you via email as an attached .pdf file. Our usual service time is 3 hours or less, during working hours, 11 am to 8 pm.
